Ghost Blogging - Bloggers Meet Writers

It’s been a while since I shared a little link love post! This time around, I’d like to feature Ritu B. Pant’s latest venture: GhostBlogging.net. You might recognize some of Ritu’s writing on Freelance Folder, among other blogs.

What exactly is GhostBlogging.net?

You can call it a blogging job board. The main idea behind GhostBlogging is to provide a platform where bloggers and writers can meet. Most bloggers are looking for new writers to give their readers a fresh perspective, while other writers/bloggers are looking for a way to reach new audience. And this is exactly what this site will help you with - finding someone to write for you or a way to gain more exposure and reach by writing for someone else.

A Job Board with Advice

The primary focus of GhostBlogging.net is that it is a job board for bloggers to post blogging opportunities, and for writers to find work. It’s free for writers to apply for writing gigs, and only $10/month for bloggers to post their jobs.

GhostBlogging.net also runs it’s own blog with writing and blogging related advice. For example they offer a Weekday SEO Tip and Weekend Blogging Tip. The blog itself is very new, but already has some very informative posts. My two favorites so far…

In the blogging world, it is all about networking and getting yourself “out there” - the GhostBlogging.net blog will be sharing their perspective and insight to this side of the blogging world. I hope you’ll check out the site, as it is sure to have a little something for everyone.

Share the Link Love

Since GhostBlogging.net is so new, and they are trying to get the word out, they’re offering a bit of a link love promotion

GhostBlogging.net is offering a Review / Banner exchange, which is actually the basis for this post. It’s a win-win for everyone… you get your banner placed on their blog for 1 month; they get a post about them on your blog; and you get a fresh post idea, lol. I have to be honest, I’m doubtful I would have had a post prepared for today if it wasn’t for this one, so it workd out well, all around!

I’m not sure how long this offer stands - and I know spots are filling up quickly, so you might want to act on this now. If you’re interested, you can get more information here.

Guest / Ghost Blogging Anyone?

I’m still fairly new to blogging - only about 8 months into it - so I have yet to write any guest posts or invite anyone to write for my blog, etc. But this is becoming an increasingly popular option - one that brings extra traffic to both sides!

Have you guest blogged or had a guest blogger write for you? I’d love to hear your experiences with it! Better yet - have you had a good experience with GhostBlogging.net? I’d love to hear that too.

I must say that I like what I see on the site, and will definitely keep it in mind when I’m ready to bring in a fresh voice or two to this blog.

I’ve had good experiences with writing guest posts, particularly for Daily Blog Tips and Freelance Folder. One thing to keep in mind, though is that in most cases the most important reason to write a guest post isn’t to promote yourself to the blog’s readership, but to connect with the blog author.

@Joshua - Thanks for the tips! It sounds like it is going well for you so far. That’s interesting that it’s more about connecting with the blog author. I hadn’t thought of that, but it absolutely makes sense.

Thanks for sharing the web site.
    It is new to me.
