Earth Day 2008

Happy Earth Day!
Every year, on April 22nd, we are reminded of just how important our planet is to us. Earth Day is a celebration of our home in the universe, and gives us a chance to do a little something to improve upon our environment.
Do Something Good
I hope that everyone will take the opportunity to do something good for the Earth today. It doesn’t matter how small of a gesture… Whether you write a post on your blog promoting environmental awareness, plant a tree, recycle those old newspapers or soda cans that have been sitting in the garage, LOL.
Just do something, because every little bit helps!
For a bit of inspiration, below are a few web sites promoting Earth Day. I hope you’ll visit, and be inspired to make a difference in our environment.
Blog Action Day 2007 Revisited
Last October, I was one of over 20,000 participants of Blog Action Day.
Last year’s theme focused on the Environment. What better time than now to link back to that post…
How Will You Help?
What are you going to do to honor the Earth today?
I’d love to hear your plans for the day. If you are posting about Earth Day and the Environment, or planning on doing something special for our planet, please feel free to share in the comments below.

Thank you, Selene! You inspired me to donate to plant 25 trees today on the http://www.plantabillion.org/ website. Are you planning on doing anything today (besides the post, I mean)?

@Nicole - that’s great! Good for you for planting 25 trees today! I’m so glad I helped inspire you to do so
My act is a bit of a delayed one, since our recycling isn’t picked up until Friday’s, LOL - but I admit that we have completely slacked on the most basic of recycling (especially an insane amount of empty plastic milk cartons!)
We will be getting back on track with separating these out from the trash, and putting them in the proper recycle bins.
