Search Engine Optimization includes updating the HTML source code of your web site with:

• inclusion of client provided title, description and keywords formatted as Meta Tags
• ensuring proper use of HTML Heading Tags
• creation of Alt and/or Title tags for images

Search Engine Optimization also includes the creation of the following files:

• HTML Site Map - sitemap.html
  Gives your visitors an additional method in which to navigate your web site, providing them with a complete listing of every page on the site.
  
  
• XML Site Map - sitemap.xml
  Utilized by Google, making it easier to crawl your site.
  
  
• Text Site Map - sitemap.txt
  Utilized by Yahoo, making it easier to crawl your site.
  
  
• ROR Site Map - sitemap.ror
  Another XML format, which is utilized by other search engines.
  
  
• Robots Exclusion Protocol - robots.txt
  Tells search engine robots which areas of your web site should or should not be crawled.

Please note that you will need to provide us with the following information for your web site before we can begin the optimization process.

• Title - 25 characters
• Description - 70 characters
• Keywords - 10 keywords or key phrases

Once your order is complete, we will send you the link to an online form, where you can create the information for your Meta Tags. If you do not have these, we also offer Meta Tag Copywriting Services.

Please also note that Search Engine Optimization includes the optimization of one (1) page of your web site - typically the Home Page or another pre-defined Landing Page of your site. We do, however, offer optimization of sub-pages of your site at greatly reduced rates.
