iDesign Studios | Custom WordPress Theme Design and Development

I’m happy to officially announce the re-design of iDesign Studios!

The new site has actually been in the works for a few months now, and is finally ready to make it’s debut. In truth, I unofficially launched the site on March 29th, but it’s taken a few extra days to get the time to put together the announcement post.

So, What’s New?

I had three main goals in mind with the updated site.

  • updated content
  • better readability
  • a clean and minimalist design

Please Excuse the Dust… Upgrade in Progress!

Pardon the Dust

Just a very quick note to ask you to please pardon the dust on the web site and blog – especially if you are subscribed to the feed!

The last few weeks have found me hard at work moving the site to a new web hosting company, Blue Host (which happens to be the #1 recommended web host by WordPress).

Making The Most of My Time

Having the freedom of a private server address that worked separately from the live site, this served as the perfect opportunity to make several upgrades to the site itself – both in terms of the WordPress theme, as well as some of the content.

Soft Launch of New Blog!

New Blog - Soft Launch!

Welcome to my new blog… well, not so much new, but re-invented!

This is still unofficial – let’s just call it a soft launch. I’m very happy with it overall, but I realized this morning that there are some display issues with Safari on the PC, and apparently also on just about everything on a Mac.

Key phrase = soft launch… aka please pardon the dust!

Thanks Jon for pointing out the Mac issue as well! I’ve got a temporary fix, but it interferes with the footer. That’s secondary, though, so that will have to wait until tomorrow…

I’m pretty sure that I’ll end up spending a good amount of time troubleshooting that over the weekend. Hopefully it is a quicker fix than expected, though. It’s so strange… I’m used to IE being the one to cause me trouble. ;)

Aside from the footer issue, there are a few minor design tweaks (font and spacing issues) that I’ll be updating over the weekend, as well. I’ve ported over many of the posts from the original blog, but still have a few more that I want to add to the mix, too. Overall, though, this is mostly finished.

New Web Site Launched!

iDesign Studios News

I am proud to announce the official re-launch of iDesign Studios!

This has been in the works for quite some time now, and I’m very happy that the new site is finally live.

The latest version of the web site takes on a much different look and feel than the previous site. It also includes a great deal of new content…

Specifically a new FAQ section with a few articles which give additional information on the web design process, and what you can expect when working with me. I have also added a testimonials section, which include recommendations from some of satisfied customers.

Most notable is the addition of a shopping cart, using CRE Loaded software. This enables us to include detailed information on each of our services, as well as making my rates readily available to the public. This is new, as potential customers previously had to contact me in order to request a proposal for services. My thoughts for this addition was to enable visitors to the site to learn about my services, with minimal effort (ie. not having to complete an online form just to view rates, etc.)

I hope you’ll take a look at the new web site!

I would love to hear your thoughts on the new design as well as on the content, etc. Both positive and negative critiques welcome!

Please post a comment below to let me know what you think.

I look forward to hearing from you!
