Do you use templates for your designs?
However you know the old saying "you get what you pay for..." - which means that there could be 5, 10, 50 or more other companies out there with the same exact web site as you. That doesn't do anything to help your business stand out from the crowd.
That's why, when you work with iDesign Studios, you can rest assured that you won't see any other web sites out there that look the same as the one we created for YOU.
We do not re-use our own designs, either. Once we've designed something for a client, it is their design. When we start working with you, we start with an entirely fresh slate, creating a whole new design concept for your company.

But I read the term template in your portfolio?
I thought you said you don't
use templates?
With sites like these, we still create a custom web design just for you.
This design is then developed into a template file which include certain HTML and PHP tags required to display navigational or content features of the site, store or blog, etc.
This type of template serves as the shell to contain all of the content of the web site. Our own shopping cart is a good example of this - there is one file created which defines the layout of the header, footer, sidebar and content area of the site. What changes from page to page is the information inside of the content area, which is dynamically driven.

Will my web site display properly in different web browsers?
We develop web sites primarily with Firefox and Internet Explorer in mind, but check compatibility with Flock, Netscape, Opera and Safari, as well.

What if I'm a designer...
I already have a site designed, I just need the html coded?
Or if I'm a developer...
I don't need help with the coding, but need someone to come up with a great design for me?
If you are a developer and need help with a design, we would be happy to design the site for you, and provide you with the final layered Photoshop file that you can code yourself.
Alternatively, there are many designers who prefer to focus strictly on design. If this is the case, you can leave the coding to us! Send us your layered Photoshop mock-up and we will code the html for you.

Where can I view my web site in progress?
Once the site is complete and we have your final approval, we move the web site from our client area to your web server - making the site viewable to the public.

How long will it take for you to design and develop my web site?
For the most part, however most standard web sites are completed within 4-6 weeks. Again, this depends on how large of a web site it is, as well as timely communication and feedback between both of us.
For additional information, we have written an article which highlights the Typical Web Site Design and Development Milestones.

Ok, I am ready to get started! Now what?
If you're still not quite sure what would be best for you, please contact us - we would be happy to walk you through the process of determining your web site needs!
First, we'll ask you several questions to help determine your web site goals and needs, as part of the Information Gathering Phase . We will take this information to create a proposal for you, which will include several options for you to choose from. Included will be one or more site maps listing the specific pages we suggest for your web site. This is all part of the Planning Phase.
You can select any of our proposed web sites, or make your own combination of options.
Whether buying straight from our online store, or through a custom made proposal and invoice, we will send you our standard contract for services that you can sign and either fax or mail to us. This helps protect both of us to be sure everyone's best interests are taken care of.
We do require a 50% deposit for all design and development services. Final payment is due before transfer of files to your server. Other services, such as web hosting, domain registration, or maintenance plans are due in full at time of purchase.
Once your contract and initial payment are received, we also sign and send back a copy of the contract to you, for your records.
Then the fun stuff begins! This is where we begin work on the initial design concepts for your web site. As soon as these are ready, we will give you access to our Client Studio, where you will be able to view the progress of your web site as it is created.
